I loved it--Pollan is an engaging, intelligent, and affable host, and the series is very persuasive that psychedelic therapy, performed by trained professionals, tin can be extremely effective, every bit well every bit the earth tragically lost decades of key research time past stupidly prohibiting information technology.

The series is balancing between scientific discipline and spirituality which is a proper approach if you desire to fully understand the topic. Every bit someone who has suffered from severe depression and axiety I cannot stress enough how important this documentary is. LSD and MDMA literally saved my life. I encourage everyone to sentinel it with an open mind and to remember for a second why these substances were banned past the goverment. I hope that this is just the beginning of the serious talks we must have well-nigh psychodelics and their importance and influence on human psychi and civilization/religion.

excellent and insightful bear witness with lots of history and scientific evidence for those interested in learning about psychedelics

Information technology could finally grasp an agreement of what the experiences of me and my friends looked similar using psychedelic substances. The residuum of medical facts and elaborating ones' emotions is well washed and I truly believe that this serial can modify the general perception on plants called "drugs" :D

    Revealing truth about psychedelics.

The host, Michael Pollan, is a well-regarded investigative announcer and best-selling author, and this adaptation of his book on psychedelic history, feel, politics, and therapeutic value does not disappoint. Information technology is not sensationalistic, and grounds its narrative in interviews with leading clinical researchers about their amazing therapeutic results. The second episode on "magic mushrooms" (psilocybin) included an interview that unexpectedly brought me to tears. An undertone of sadness at the political, economical, and cultural war on these medicines pervades the series. So many victims of so many traumas accept been denied the promise of these treatments by Big Pharma,, cynical politicians, and closed-minded cultural leaders--and that'southward tragic.

Eye opening, Educational and brings hope to a world with a severe mental illness crisis that in that location are alternatives that can help, heal and cure.

LSD, psilocybin, and mescaline episodes were actually interesting -- history and info. The MDMA episode stunk.

  • Jul xvi, 2022

In the first episode, this show claims that Bill Wilson's spiritual experience that sparked his journey in sobriety was based upon a psychedelic experience. This is evidently false. Total and completely false. They must not have done much enquiry into Beak Wilson. He didn't experiment with LSD until well into his sobriety.

) It'south basically just several advisedly curated accounts of personal experiences. Zero supporting evidence from anyone with real credibility. Constant contradiction, and a reorganization of misinformation. I'm supposed to have what some junkie seen while high every bit clinical testify or proof of god. Rofl
